EAA 403 meetings are held at our Chapter building location at 2500 College Parkway, Carson City, NV unless otherwise noted on our calendar of events. Our Chapter meetings are generally held the first Wednesday of each month. We start with a potluck dinner (bring a dish to share) at 6:00 PM local (Pacific) time. The general meeting starts about 6:45 PM.
Our board meetings are held in the Chapter building at 6 pm on the last Monday of each month unless an alternate date and time is agreed upon by the majority of the board. All members are welcome to attend the board meetings. Alternate times and location will be noted on our calendar of events.
We have coffee and donuts on Saturday mornings starting at about 9:00 AM except for the second Saturday of each month when we have a pancake breakfast from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
A luncheon is served each Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
The luncheon, pancake breakfast and coffee and donuts events support the Chapter 403 and it’s primary mission, the Young Eagles program.
The Young Eagles fly on the second Saturday of every other month, starting in January, excepting that September is skipped because of the Reno air races and is moved to October. The flight months are Jan-Mar-May-Jul-Oct-Nov. In the event that flights are postponed because of bad weather, an attempt will be made to make up the flights in the following open month. Registration starts at 7:30 AM, the Flight Orientation Program starts at 8:00 AM and aircraft flights will start at approximately 8:00 AM with children that have already been through the Flight Orientation Program. Each Young Eagle (each child) must attend the Flight Orientation Program before their first flight. Flight scheduling preference is given to those children who have yet to have a Young Eagle flight. Most email communication between the Chapter and the Young Eagles and their parents should be channeled through n.nv.young.eagles@gmail.com.
Please see our website Young Eagles Section for additional information.
If you share our passion for aviation please join our EAA 403 Chapter.
EAA History
EAA 403 has a rich history going back to the early 1970s.
The link below will take you to a page that presents all or parts of the Chapter newsletters from 1972 to 1986. It is a great read and is based on 15 years of newsletters saved by editor Warren Gavey. The seeds for the formation of the Chapter were sown in 1971 and that year is referenced in some of the early documents.
